Jamie Mahn is a Canadian-born music professional with extensive international experience as a performer, music director, and entertainment consultant. A seasoned multi-instrumentalist, he is proficient in piano, guitar, bass, saxophone, trumpet, flute, drums, clarinet, harmonica, accordion, and trombone. His career spans live performance, show production, team leadership, and therapeutic music across a wide range of professional settings.
Jamie has performed across North America, Europe, and Asia in diverse entertainment formats, including dueling piano bars, cruise ships, rock bands, solo acts, theatrical productions, corporate events, touring stage shows, and music therapy programs. His venue history includes piano lounges in Singapore, cruise theaters throughout Europe, dueling piano clubs across the U.S. and Canada, and entertainment hubs in the Netherlands and Southeast Asia.
Onboard cruise ships, Jamie has held long-term contracts with major international cruise lines, performing request-based shows multiple nights a week. These shows demanded versatility, adaptability, and strong audience connection. His live sets often featured piano, guitar, harmonica, and vocals—improvised and adjusted in real time to crowd dynamics.
He was a founding performer at a major dueling piano venue in the U.S., where he contributed to operational launch, technical system setup, show structure development, performer onboarding, and team leadership. He later brought these skills overseas to help open Southeast Asia’s first dueling piano bar in Singapore, overseeing multilingual show components, technical implementation, and stage design.
Jamie has served as entertainment director for several piano bar venues, managing performer rosters, nightly show execution, staff training, and show content. His leadership consistently resulted in strong team performance, efficient operations, and high audience retention.
His background also includes music direction for a full-length Canadian stage revue. Jamie was responsible for live musical arrangements, score rewrites, and directing a full ensemble cast and band. In Western Canada, he led the entertainment strategy for a high-volume piano bar, combining on-stage performance with scheduling, technical oversight, and promotional planning.
Jamie has performed over 4,000 piano shows across four continents and international waters. He also developed and led a national touring production throughout Canada and on cruise ships. His responsibilities included artist management, logistics, technical production, client communication, and performance delivery.
In health and wellness contexts, Jamie has contributed to music therapy programs using instruments such as piano, guitar, bass, and saxophone to support patient recovery, emotional regulation, and community engagement.
Today, Jamie continues to work globally as a performer, director, and mentor. His rare combination of musical expertise, show leadership, and production knowledge makes him a valuable asset to entertainment venues, agencies, and producers seeking seasoned talent with international range and proven reliability.
